Whenever I think or wonder why I am in an interior design business I remember the days growing up and building doll houses and furniture. The first house I made while in middle school, I took it so far as to electrify it! My second house was bigger than the first but never quite finished out the way I would have liked. After my daughter was born, I thought building a house with her would be a great mother-daughter project (ya right...what was I thinking?). Her the house stands after almost 20 yrs, incomplete but full of potential.
Join me as I tackle each room, one space at a time and finish it out to its' potential. We will build rugs, furniture, art work and install wood trim and hopefully the work will get done this time around. Please check out the album of pre-reno photos and I will post updates.
We are adding some new items on our "Gifts to Go" page, like "Attitude Scarves" made from up-cycled t-shirts. We have gotten a great response for unique items that also work for gift giving and we are partnered with a grassroots movement to promote buying from USA companies and small businesses. Please take the challenge and keep checking back to our page as we continue to update with items that we think you may enjoy. As always, custom orders are also accepted!
The days of vibrant fall color are waning but decorating with fall colors continues to be a trend. Vibrant oranges emerged a few years ago in fashion and interiors. Bold reds have been a popular choice for many dining rooms. This fall palette will continue to be popular and livable. Think about updating these colors with the bold prints in geometric patterns.Maybe someday I will be able to enjoy the colorful season in my own silver Airstream, until then I'm happy with my needlepoint pillow.
Do you love decorating with style and flare? Novelty Bat Pillows are now available in our new "Gifts to Go" page. We love to decorate in fun new ways. We will be adding pillows as the seasons transition so keep coming back for a visit!
Very cool new tool for getting color swatches...
Addressing the elephant in the room...
It's been almost 2 years since my last post on this site but that doesn't mean I'm not communicating or blogging. With so many areas for social media connections, I primarily use a Facebook page for my business (a link can be found on my "home" page on this site), a monthly newsletter reaches those not on FB and it also goes out through connections to LinkedIn, and I also write in a monthly trade publication (check out "In the Press" to the left).
So please stay in touch in whatever way works for you...there is always something new in the window coverings industry and I'm happy to share the news with you!
