Domicil design is the most complete resource for custom window treatments in the New Hampshire seacoast. We serve both residential and commercial customers from our fabrication studio located in Dover, New Hampshire. We specialize in custom design and client involvement to ensure that our products offer timeless quality. We like to meet in person but have also worked successfully with clients remotely, using online communication and phone conversations.
In 1993 we started with custom window treatments and quickly added hard treatments (blinds, shades and shutters) and slipcovers. Over the past 25+ years we have perfected our knowledge and skills. Today we specialize in Roman Shades, Slipcovers, and cushions. These are the pieces that have built our reputation for excellence in custom soft furnishings. We take pride in building a community of clients who are looking to create custom interiors with custom soft furnishings. We love the challenge and uniqueness of designing and creating custom window treatments. Because your and our time is valuable, we have changed and outlined our process for designing, measuring and fabricating custom window treatments. We will have a phone chat to discuss your needs for covering the windows (privacy, light filtering, sound absorption, aesthetic completion to the space, budget, etc). We provide all the hardware needed to complete the project. We can source hardware for the most difficult windows, including bay and bow windows, swing arms, and extra wide windows. We also offer motorization and home automation to link your treatments to your total 'smart home' hub.
In our workroom we carry a large selection of fabric and trim not available locally but we are also happy to work with fabric's you purchase on your own. Our projects are professionally installed and guaranteed to work and perform as designed. All our hard treatments are hand-picked sources based on the quality and guarantee that they carry, best selection and fair price. Cushions are part of our core product offering. We can recover, refurbish or recreate any cushion you need for any application. Our supplier sources allow us to provide you a commercial grade product with many options to suit your needs. Whether you need something economical for outdoor, flotation for marine or luxurious in Down/Feather, we have the knowledge and supplies to fit your specific cushion and pillow needs.
